“Molecular Diagnostics in Avian Medicine: Past and Future”

Dr. David Suarez is a Research Leader at the US Department of Agriculture and Agricultural Research Services, Exotic and Emerging Avian Disease Research Unit. He earned his PhD in Veterinary Microbiology and Immunology in 1995 from Iowa State University of Science and Technology, and he earned his DVM in 1988 from Auburn University. Dr. Suarez’s research focuses on next generation diagnostic tools and studying avian influenza and other avian diseases.
