The CBS professional Master’s degree programs (Integrative Biomedical Physiology professional non-thesis master’s (MS-NT) and the online professional master’s (MS-NT O) offer excellent preparation for students seeking entry into professional degree programs in health sciences, including medical, dental, veterinary, and public health schools. The curriculum and introductory research experiences provide a strong foundation for pursuing further education in a variety of health-focused fields.

Professional MS in Integrative Biomedical Physiology (IBP):

This one-year, non-thesis degree program offers a comprehensive education in the physiological and biomedical sciences and is offered through the Department of Physiology and Pharmacology. The curriculum is designed to provide students with integrative knowledge and professional skills that prepare them for careers in a broad range of biomedical professions including veterinary and human medicine, dentistry, biomedical engineering, biomedical diagnostic technology, and research.

How to Apply

The Integrative Biomedical Physiology Professional MS-NT program is a cohort program that begins in the Fall semester each year. Applications received by June 1st will receive full consideration.

Admission Requirements: Applicants must have completed a B.S. (or foreign equivalent) and/or professional degree (DVM, MD, DDS, etc.) from a USDOE recognized institutional accreditor with a minimum G PA of 3.00 (out of 4.00). The GRE is no longer required. Applicants must submit a statement of purpose, resume/CV, academic transcripts, and three letters of recommendation with their application. A writing sample is not required. International applicants receiving their degree from institutions where English is not the primary or official language must meet the English proficiency requirements established by the Graduate School. Additional information for international applicants can be found here.

Online MS Program in Comparative Biomedical Sciences:

Our online non-thesis MS program offers flexibility for students who wish to pursue their studies remotely while engaging with a diverse, dynamic curriculum in biomedical sciences. This program is ideal for working professionals or those with other commitments, allowing them to expand their knowledge through graduate coursework in the biomedical sciences. Students will develop a strong foundation in biomedical concepts while having the flexibility to tailor their education to their specific professional goals.

How to Apply

Students begin the online MS-NT program in the Fall semester and the deadline for Fall admission is July 1st . However, applications are considered on a rolling basis, so students are advised to apply earlier in the year if possible.
