What is Vet School for a Day?

Vet School for a Day is designed for high school juniors and seniors in Georgia and South Carolina who are seriously interested in preparing for, and getting into, vet school.

Our goal is to educate students who have a keen interest in the many career opportunities that exist in veterinary medicine. The annual program is held in September, runs from 8:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., and includes a tour of the UGA Veterinary Teaching Hospital, a meeting with faculty from different areas of interest, and an admissions overview. Over lunch attendees will have the opportunity to hear from our students and alumni on their career paths and experiences.

In 2019, Vet School for a Day will be held on Wednesday, September 25. Registration for this year’s event is now closed.
