The Faculty and Staff of the Georgia Veterinary Diagnostic Laboratories would like to wish you and your staff a safe and happy holiday season! Below are our holiday hours for both the Athens Veterinary Diagnostic Laboratory and the Tifton Veterinary Diagnostic and Investigational Laboratory.
The Athens Veterinary Diagnostic Laboratory (AVDL) will closed on the following dates during the upcoming holiday season:
- Thanksgiving — Thursday, Nov. 28
- Christmas — Wednesday, Dec. 25
- New Year’s Day — Wednesday, Jan. 1
During the following scheduled UGA holidays, the Athens lab will be operating for your convenience, but with a limited staff and with limited hours:
- Friday, Nov. 29 — Open only for necropsies and reporting of tests
- Tuesday, Dec. 24 — Normal hours; reduced staff
- Thursday/Friday, Dec. 26-27 — Open 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. (ET); reduced staff
- Monday/Tuesday, Dec. 30-31 — Open 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. (ET); reduced staff
AVDL will resume normal hours on Thursday, Jan. 2, 2014.
The Tifton Veterinary Diagnostic and Investigational Laboratory (TVDIL) will closed on the following dates during the upcoming holiday season:
- Thanksgiving — Thursday/Friday, Nov. 28-29
- Christmas — Wednesday, Dec. 25
- New Year’s Day — Wednesday, Jan. 1
During the following scheduled UGA holidays, the Tifton lab will be operating for your convenience, but with a limited staff and with limited hours. The lab will be open from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. (ET) on the following dates:
- Thursday, Dec. 26
- Friday, Dec. 27
- Monday, Dec. 30
- Tuesday, Dec. 31
TVDIL will resume normal hours on Thursday, Jan. 2, 2014.
