The UGA College of Veterinary Medicine Open House is right around the corner! On April 6th, 2018, current veterinary students will be hosting the College’s annual open house, an event that is full of fun, hands-on exhibits for all members of the community.
Open house starts at 9 a.m. and runs till 4 p.m. in the CVM main building on D.W. Brooks Drive on the UGA campus. Parking is available at the UGA softball field lots on South Milledge Avenue with shuttle bus service to campus.
This year there will be some new events, along with plenty of returning favorites:
• NEW this year – WNGC 106.1 will be broadcasting live on-site in the morning
• A parade of dog breeds
• Exotic and large animal exhibits – including zebra, camel, bison and horses
• Anatomy and parasitology displays
• Veterinary Teaching Hospital tours
• Teddy bear surgery
• Plus, quail hatching, face painting, bake sale, and more!
In addition, we have ongoing demonstrations in our lameness paddock:
10:00 am – 11:00 am UGA Equestrian Team
11:00 am – 12:00 pm Lucky Dawg Agility
12:00 pm – 1:00 pm Sheep Dog Herding Demo
1:00 pm – 2:00 pm Parade of Breeds (dog show)
2:00 pm – 3:00 pm Classic City Clydesdales
3:00 pm – 4:00 pm Body Language Demo
