Equine ophthalmology service expanded

By Staff

The UGA Veterinary Teaching Hospital has hired a board-certified ophthalmologist with a special interest in equine ophthalmology to help us bolster our offerings in this area.

Sarah Czerwinski, DVM, DACVO, gained extensive experience in equine ophthalmology during her residency at the University of Florida and then spent a year in private practice. She joined the Hospital’s ophthalmology team in December 2016.

The Hospital has also purchased specialized equipment to allow us to offer cataract surgery in horses. Additionally, we have expanded our patient receiving schedule, and appointments are now available daily. Call 706.542.3223 to schedule yours today!
