UGA PHC welcomes two new clinicians to expanding clinic

The University of Georgia Pet Health Center (PHC) is thrilled to welcome two new Clinical Assistant Professors — Dr. Elizabeth Busch and Dr. Jennifer Sims — to its growing team. In their new roles, Drs. Busch and Sims will serve as full-time clinicians, providing high-quality primary care to patients while mentoring and training the next generation of veterinarians.

As proud Double Dawgs, earning both their undergraduate and DVM from the University of Georgia, both are returning to their alma mater to continue the University of Georgia College of Veterinary Medicine’s tradition of excellence in veterinary medicine and compassionate animal care.

Drs. Busch and Sims join our team as the Pet Health Center continues to expand its Spectrum of Care initiative, made possible through a grant from the Stanton Foundation. The Spectrum of Care philosophy embraces a judgment-free approach to veterinary medicine, one that considers each client’s cultural, physical, and socioeconomic circumstances alongside their pet’s medical needs. With our expanded team, we can better train our students to truly partner with our clients and help achieve the best possible outcomes for their animals

The UGA Pet Health Center is a full-service, primary care veterinary clinic for cats and dogs. Services include routine wellness care, preventative medicine, and basic surgical procedures. Taking a team-based approach—clinicians, senior veterinary students, and staff work together to ensure every patient receives the highest quality of care.
