Garcia joins field services team

The University of Georgia College of Veterinary Medicine welcomes Dr. Jessica Garcia as a Clinical Assistant Professor with our Large Animal Field Services team. Dr. Garcia earned her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree at the Ohio State University and completed her internship, residency, and board certification in Large Animal Internal Medicine at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville.

While she is passionate about caring for all large animals, Dr. Garcia particularly enjoys working with our farm animal patients, including goats, sheep, alpacas, llamas, and pigs. Her professional interests include farm animal welfare and internal medicine. As part of our Field Services team, she will help provide on-the-farm veterinary care, including routine preventative care, parasite management, routine procedures like castrations and disbudding, emergency care and more.
